The Role: Supply Chain Planner
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Planner to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials throughout our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for our products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production planning and inventory management.
- Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to generate purchase orders and manage supplier relationships.
- Source and negotiate contracts with contract manufacturers, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management with a focus on Demand or Materials Planning.
- Experience in custom hardware sourcing is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of MRP systems and experience implementing and managing MRP within ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Proven ability to source and manage contract manufacturers, including contract negotiation and performance management.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Google G Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) or Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the electronics contract manufacturing industry.
- Professional certification (e.g., APICS, Lean Six Sigma).
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $76,500 to $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
- Extended medical plan with a Health Spending Account (premiums paid by the company).
- Group RRSP with a 3% company-paid match after one year of employment.
