Job Summary:
CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead our purchasing functions and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities, processes, and procedures, and developing and implementing purchasing standards, controls, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee the Company's purchasing functions, including the supervision of all procurement activities, processes, and procedures.
- Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine selling prices and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Analyze and review trade policies, and other trade-related information to determine impact on import/export initiatives and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Establish and implement purchasing standards, controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Implement best practices in purchasing and supplier management to drive cost savings and improve supplier relationships.
- Develop and maintain a vendor base to create and sustain a competitive advantage, utilizing global market exploitation and leveraging industry trends.
- Product Knowledge and Development: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and product developments to inform purchasing decisions and drive business growth.
- Strategy Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
- Establish and maintain measurable performance metrics to evaluate procurement performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain and review requisitions and records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product, performance, and inventories to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Requirements:
- Supply Chain Designation (preferred)
- 7 plus years experience in materials/purchasing or supply chain management
- Progressive experience in materials/purchasing or supply chain management and proven leadership abilities
- Previous experience in a similar industry highly advantageous
