Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

As the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Promote Project, you will play a crucial role in empowering our Development Teams to deliver exceptional software products to our users efficiently. Your primary focus will be on establishing strong quality practices and test automation throughout the organization, from defining and implementing testing tools and frameworks to setting comprehensive quality benchmarks, all while aligning with our business objectives and understanding our systems.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Vision: Develop the vision and strategy for testing and developer support within the team.
  • Quality Advocacy: Promote best practices in code quality, testing, and maintainability, driving their adoption across the engineering teams. Establish and implement quality standards, templates in version control systems, and ensure thorough definitions of completion in project management tools.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure that our tools and frameworks meet the evolving needs of our developers.
  • Tool & Framework Innovation: Design, architect, and implement automated testing frameworks and tools from the ground up.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Continuous Enhancement: Assess emerging technologies and industry trends, regularly refining our methodologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Hands-on Testing: Be ready to engage directly with the code, exemplifying best practices in action.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and testing, with a strong emphasis on integrating test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Proven experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or TypeScript.
  • Extensive familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud services, and containerization technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with version control systems and leveraging CI/CD tools.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and mobile testing frameworks.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced or startup environment.
  • Understanding of effective test case design and development.
