Opportunity Overview

RBC - Royal Bank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans for software applications to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and product management, to identify and prioritize testing needs.
  • Design and implement automated testing frameworks to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and report defects to development teams, and work with them to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, and other testing artifacts.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members on testing methodologies and tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve testing processes and tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on technical testing.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks, such as Selenium or Appium.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based testing tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins or Docker.
  • Experience with mobile testing and device testing.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility testing and compliance with accessibility standards.
