Position Overview

The successful candidate will oversee and manage the national leasing operations for Skyline's Retail REIT portfolio, aiming to enhance our overall occupancy and revenue while aligning with Skyline's commitment to improving efficiency and uncovering value in real estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In-depth experience in all facets of retail leasing; proactive in pursuing and finalizing renewals and new leases for vacant or expiring spaces.
  • A robust network of industry contacts, with the ability to cultivate and sustain strong relationships with both tenants and brokerage communities, ensuring awareness of Skyline's Retail portfolio.
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail leasing principles and practices, along with applicable Federal, Provincial, and local regulations.
  • Proven experience in providing insights and recommendations to asset management and finance regarding annual leasing assumptions as part of a thorough budgeting process.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills; enthusiastic about collaborating within the leasing team and the broader Retail group, including mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet multiple tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as necessary.
  • A representative who promotes a highly professional and positive image of Skyline Retail REIT properties and Skyline Commercial Management Inc.
