Director, Ontario Veterinary College Advancement

The Director of Ontario Veterinary College Advancement will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive advancement strategy to secure philanthropic support for the Ontario Veterinary College. This includes building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, identifying and pursuing major gift opportunities, and overseeing the development of a robust alumni engagement program.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in fundraising, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of advancement. They will be an effective communicator and collaborator, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, alumni, and colleagues.

The Director will be responsible for leading a team of advancement professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the achievement of fundraising goals. They will also work closely with the Dean and other senior administrators to advance the strategic priorities of the College.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive advancement strategy to secure philanthropic support for the Ontario Veterinary College.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, alumni, and colleagues.
  • Identify and pursue major gift opportunities, working closely with the Dean and other senior administrators.
  • Oversee the development of a robust alumni engagement program, including outreach strategies and volunteer management.
  • Lead a team of advancement professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the achievement of fundraising goals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in fundraising, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of advancement.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, alumni, and colleagues.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team of advancement professionals.
  • Ability to work closely with the Dean and other senior administrators to advance the strategic priorities of the College.
