Role Overview

As a Claims Consultant, you will play a crucial role in supporting claims and underwriting functions, providing expert advice, and contributing to the settlement of complex claims files.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide multiline claims expertise to improve company guidelines and programs
  • Engage in special projects to enhance processes and personnel
  • Monitor service levels and effectiveness of claims personnel
  • Conduct audits of claims files to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Lead the development of technical claims training programs
  • Provide consultation on large and complicated claims files, including technical guidance and advice to staff

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • Ten years of relevant experience in claims management
  • Litigation experience is an asset
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented and flexible
