Position Overview:

Pryco Global is in search of a driven and meticulous professional to fulfill the role of Quantity Surveyor. This position involves supporting our QS initiatives by coordinating efforts and contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost estimates, budgets, and timelines for construction projects.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments to evaluate material, time, and labor costs.
  • Collaborate with contractors, clients, and project managers to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and related documentation.
  • Implement risk management and cost control measures.
  • Monitor changes in design and construction work, adjusting budget forecasts as necessary.
  • Measure and assess the work completed on-site.
  • Demonstrate expertise in quantity takeoff from drawings and preparing bills of material in Uni format and pricing.
  • Certify progress and final payments to contractors and suppliers.
  • Provide guidance on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Maintain knowledge of current building contracts.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Canada as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Proven experience in quantity takeoff from drawings and preparing bills of material in Uni format and pricing.
  • Previous experience in preparing Progress Draw Reports for commercial real estate projects is essential.
  • Proficient in utilizing quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., Plan Swift, Bluebeam, RS means).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical abilities.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
