Job Summary

JALIYAN ENTERPRISES INC. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles.

Estimate and Manage Inventory

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.

Quality Control and Customer Service

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Establish Work Schedules

Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that we have adequate coverage during peak periods and that staff are able to take breaks and time off as needed.

Work Environment

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and interacting with customers and staff on a regular basis.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.

Work Setting

Food service establishment, on-site customer service, and fast food.

Supervision

5-10 people, including food service counter attendants and food preparers, kitchen and food service helpers.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and ability to work in a team environment.
