About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant, Global Benefits to join our team at Cowan Insurance Group. As a key member of our global benefits team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our clients and partners, while maintaining strong relationships and identifying opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong client and partner relationships, providing ongoing education, support, and guidance to established client contacts.
  • Develop and provide client-specific competitive plan design and concepts, working in collaboration with internal resources to meet client needs.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities within a block of clients and take advantage of learning opportunities to stay up-to-date on the employee benefits business around the world.
  • Contribute to peer group through Consultant meetings and collaboration, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive business growth.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in the employee benefits industry, with a strong understanding of varied underwriting concepts, techniques, and analysis.
  • Completed post-secondary education or a combination of equivalent professional experience and training.
  • Life Licensed (LLQP) or willingness to obtain as quickly as possible, with bonus points for CEBS designation.
  • Strong relationship-builder with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with a proven track record in managing a complex block of business in a fast-paced environment.
  • Client-focused with a partnership mentality, able to identify and drive opportunities to grow an existing book and cross-sell.
  • Capable of working remotely and/or from an office base interchangeably, with occasional travel required.
  • Maintenance of a valid driver's license.
