About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant, Global Benefits to join our team at Cowan Insurance Group. As a key member of our global benefits team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our clients and partners, providing expert advice and guidance on employee benefits and compensation strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and carriers to ensure seamless delivery of benefits solutions.
  • Provide ongoing education, support, and guidance to clients on employee benefits and compensation strategies.
  • Design and implement competitive benefits plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with internal resources to ensure effective communication and delivery of benefits solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell Cowan Insurance Group's services to clients and partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to provide expert advice and guidance to clients.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in the employee benefits industry.
  • Completed post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience and training.
  • Life Licensed (LLQP) or willingness to obtain.
  • Bonus points for CEBS designation or working towards it.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting concepts, techniques, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of flexible benefits and ability to plan and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Proven track record in managing complex blocks of business in a fast-paced environment.
  • Client-focused with a partnership mentality.
  • Strong relationship-builder with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Ability to work remotely and/or from office base interchangeably.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Maintenance of a valid driver's license.
