What is expected?
Reporting to the Principal Consultant & Practice Lead, Global Benefits, you will deliver exceptional service to our international clients and partners. Your objective is to foster positive client relationships, ensure clients are informed about all Cowan Insurance Group services, and support colleagues in their professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture robust relationships with clients, partners, and carriers;
- Provide continuous education, support, and guidance to established client contacts;
- Design and deliver client-specific competitive plan concepts;
- Collaborate with internal resources based on client requirements;
- Identify cross-selling opportunities within your client portfolio;
- Engage in learning opportunities to deepen your understanding of global employee benefits;
- Contribute to peer discussions through Consultant meetings and collaborative efforts;
What qualifications are necessary?
- 5+ years of experience in the employee benefits sector;
- Completion of post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience and training;
- Life License (LLQP) or willingness to obtain it promptly (tuition covered);
- Bonus points for pursuing or holding a CEBS designation;
- Strong grasp of diverse underwriting concepts, techniques, and analyses;
- Familiarity with flexible benefits and expertise in planning and executing strategic initiatives;
- Proven ability to manage a complex business portfolio in a fast-paced environment;
- Client-focused with a partnership-oriented mindset;
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills;
- Demonstrated capacity to influence and negotiate effectively;
- Aptitude for identifying and driving growth opportunities within an existing client base;
- Ability to work both remotely and from an office setting interchangeably;
- Willingness to travel as required;
- Valid driver's license is necessary;
