Logistics Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to join our team at DMA Logistics Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our logistics department, ensuring seamless transportation and storage of goods.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate Daily Operations: Assess the efficiency of our logistics operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor Department Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of our logistics team.
- Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement strategies to optimize our logistics processes.
- Plan for Changes to Schedules and Policies: Anticipate and prepare for changes in transportation regulations, schedules, and policies.
- Prepare Reports for Senior Management: Provide regular reports to senior management on logistics performance and trends.
- Recruit and Supervise Staff: Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, including recruiting, training, and evaluating staff performance.
- Train Staff: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of logistics staff.
- Arrange for Shipping Documentation and Tracking: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of shipping documents and tracking of goods in transit.
- Ensure Transport Compliance: Verify that all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations and laws.
- Establish and Implement Policies and Standards: Develop and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
- Negotiate Services and Rates: Negotiate with service providers to secure preferential rates and services.
- Oversee Scheduling and Dispatching: Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
- Oversee Transportation Service Rates and Revenue: Monitor and manage transportation service rates and revenue.
- Record Cargo Information: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Supervision: Lead a team of 3-4 logistics professionals.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment with a large caseload and workload.
- Personal Suitability: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be accurate, client-focused, efficient, flexible, and reliable.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics management, with a strong background in transportation and supply chain management.
