About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team at DMA Logistics Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our logistics department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Daily Operations: Assess the performance of our logistics team and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor Department Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of our logistics operations.
  • Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement strategies to optimize our logistics processes and improve efficiency.
  • Plan for Changes to Schedules and Policies: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement changes to our logistics schedules and policies.
  • Prepare Reports for Senior Management: Provide regular reports to senior management on the performance of our logistics department.
  • Recruit and Supervise Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of logistics professionals to ensure that our operations are running smoothly.
  • Train Staff: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure that our logistics team has the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Arrange for Shipping Documentation and Tracking: Ensure that all shipping documentation is accurate and up-to-date, and that all shipments are tracked and monitored.
  • Ensure Transport Compliance: Ensure that all transportation operations are compliant with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Establish and Implement Policies and Standards: Develop and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
  • Negotiate for Services and Rates: Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to secure the best rates and services for our company.
  • Oversee Scheduling and Dispatching: Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods to ensure that our logistics operations are running smoothly.
  • Oversee Revenue and Monitoring: Monitor and manage our revenue streams to ensure that our logistics operations are profitable.
  • Record Cargo Information: Record and track cargo information, including hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Supervision

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 logistics professionals.
