Position Overview

The Innovative Visual Designer will play a pivotal role in developing and producing marketing materials for Champion Petfoods. This position involves managing projects from initial concept through to final delivery across various platforms, ensuring alignment with our brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create engaging digital and print materials for product packaging, marketing campaigns, trade shows, and promotional events.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to achieve high-quality creative outcomes.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of brand standards, ensuring consistency across all design initiatives.
  • Apply established style guides to existing marketing materials for distributors and retailers.
  • Work closely with marketing and design teams to ensure effective communication of brand messages through design.
  • Conduct research and provide insights based on industry trends and best practices.
  • Define production requirements for various projects and oversee their execution.
  • Review all marketing materials for accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Maintain an organized library of graphics and digital assets in accordance with established filing systems.
  • Develop creative solutions that meet company objectives while adhering to brand standards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic design and marketing.
  • Strong creative and conceptual skills with the ability to articulate ideas effectively.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, and Acrobat.
  • Basic knowledge of video editing and motion graphics software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with contemporary graphic design techniques and principles.
  • Understanding of printing and publishing standards.
  • Desire to learn and collaborate within a dynamic team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to adapt to feedback and make necessary adjustments.
  • Proactive and results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
