About the Position

We are transforming the concept of an in-house agency and are in search of a visual communications designer to join our team. As an individual contributor within our marketing division, your main responsibilities will include developing visually engaging content that bolsters our marketing initiatives within the Domains Services sector. This encompasses the creation of digital graphics, emails, newsletters, display ads, social media posts, video content, and promotional materials that connect with our audience and elevate our brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve collaboration with marketing colleagues and peers across various departments, including sales, product management, business owners, and partners, to produce high-quality designs. Your specific duties will include:

  • Maintaining and enhancing our brands' visual identity, which includes logos, logo applications, color schemes, typography, illustrations, and iconography.
  • Conceptualizing, producing, and refining marketing campaigns and assets, both digital and social.
  • Designing requests for proposals (RFPs) to attract new business and presentation materials for leadership.
  • Creating promotional items and designing event materials (banners, booth kits, conference signage, etc.).
  • Developing video content, including promotional reels, teaser videos, tutorials, and how-to demonstrations.
  • Maintaining and updating our brand guidelines and intranet site, ensuring access to brand assets and resources for both internal and external use.
  • Collaborating closely with the product and marketing teams on brand-building and marketing campaigns.
  • Acting as an effective partner with marketing, ensuring seamless integration of design and marketing efforts.
  • Clearly articulating and communicating ideas and designs to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Understanding print and digital design standards and specifications, managing print files, and coordinating with external printers and vendors.
  • Creating accessible designs that comply with W3C and AODA standards.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience as a graphic or visual designer within an advertising agency or an in-house design team.
  • A certificate, degree, or diploma in graphic design or a related discipline.
  • A portfolio showcasing your design capabilities and conceptual thinking.
  • Strong aesthetic judgment and a solid grasp of graphic design principles, including typography, layout, grid systems, color theory, photography, and iconography.
  • Experience in video production (basic animation, motion graphics, storyboarding, prototyping, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, After Effects, and similar design tools.
  • Adeptness in collaborative work within a fast-paced environment.

The base salary range for this position is $65,100 to $72,300. This range is presented in $CAD for Canadian residents, with variations applicable to other countries. The range may fluctuate based on various factors, including location, experience, and qualifications.
