Position Overview:

In this pivotal role, the Business Engagement Partner is central to our objective of modernizing McKesson Canada's essential systems. By collaborating closely with key stakeholders in the supply chain and ERP systems, you will gain insights into their objectives and challenges, allowing you to propose innovative technological solutions. You will be instrumental in shaping the IT roadmap and investment strategy, ensuring the execution of all IT priorities established in partnership with your business stakeholders.

Your expertise, which merges business insight in supply chain management with knowledge of industry trends, will empower you to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions to our senior leadership team. With a strong executive presence, you will serve as the primary IT liaison for vice presidents and higher, becoming their singular point of contact for all IT-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the business unit portfolio process, ensuring its ongoing relevance.
  • Act as Portfolio Manager as necessary, defining and driving governance processes between the Management Team (MT) and business units (BU), ensuring transparency and visibility into project team performance.
  • Leverage extensive knowledge of the company's product/service offerings and competitive landscape to identify new growth opportunities, technologies, and emerging products/services.
  • Lead the development of business cases for optimizing existing services/solutions or creating next-generation products.
  • Manage IT demand and portfolio, facilitating discussions on prioritization to balance business needs and IT constraints.
  • Collaborate with and oversee teams responsible for defining product/service requirements, specifications, and development roadmaps to align with portfolio and corporate strategy priorities.
  • Serve as the interface between business units and MT, coordinating across capabilities to meet business objectives.
  • Translate business requirements into MT requirements and vice versa, ensuring alignment with relevant capabilities and solutions.
  • Provide day-to-day support to ensure timely resolution of issues in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Advocate for local business functions concerning Management Team (MT) capabilities.
  • Ensure end-to-end business processes supported by MT are stable and optimized.
  • Manage and optimize the total cost of ownership of IT services within their business segment, in alignment with solutions teams.
  • Act as an escalation point for critical P1/P2 issues to minimize their impact on business operations.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record, with diverse and extensive technology experience and general technology acumen. While a robust technical foundation is preferred, the IT Lead must bring well-rounded business insight and a global perspective to effectively engage and collaborate with the senior management team and key stakeholders. Experience in business partner roles is highly relevant for this challenge. Previous experience in developing ERP transformation roadmaps and integrating disparate platforms in a complex, global business environment is essential.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, finance, distribution operations, life sciences, and/or customer operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, training, presentation skills, and experience leading multiple, highly diverse teams to achieve results.
  • Leadership experience and a proven ability to collaborate and influence decisions at the SVP and/or business unit president level.
  • Relocation and/or sponsorship is not available for this role.

Education:

  • A Master's Degree is considered an advantage.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience is required.

The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position: $120,600 - $201,000
