About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst, Finance to join our team at EPCOR. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial advice and direction to senior management, as well as financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual results, to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Identify and resolve financial reporting issues, including reviewing general ledger accounts, identifying omissions, and proposing solutions.
  • Analyze financial information and prepare journal vouchers with supporting source documentation.
  • Review and analyze intercompany and related party transactions, ensuring accurate coding and resolving discrepancies.
  • Implement business unit accounting processes to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and utilize an in-depth working knowledge of Oracle Fixed Asset and Project modules to ensure efficient financial reporting.
  • Provide guidance on accounting treatment of capital, operating, and revenue-related items under IFRS and regulatory filings.
  • Plan, coordinate, and review annual capital and operating budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans for business unit groups.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA).
  • Minimum 4-6 years of directly related and progressively responsible professional accounting experience.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS.
  • Understanding of large corporation financial processes.
  • Ability to frequently transition between working independently and supporting team initiatives.
  • Keen attention to detail, results-oriented demeanor, and excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Corporate Financial Systems (Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Projects, and Oracle BI).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically in Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly present information to a variety of audiences.
