Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic direction and vision to the Provincial Archives team
- Ensure the effective acquisition, preservation, and accessibility of Alberta's documentary heritage
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the long-term preservation of archival materials
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and the public
- Oversee the management of archival collections, including appraisal, acquisition, and preservation
- Develop and implement programs to promote the use and appreciation of archival materials
- Master's degree in a related field, such as archives and records management, library science, or history
- Extensive experience in archives and records management, including leadership and management roles
- Strong knowledge of archival principles and practices, including appraisal, acquisition, and preservation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
