Executive Director, Transportation Safety and Compliance

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Traffic Safety Services, the Executive Director, Monitoring and Compliance is responsible for ensuring high standards for the delivery of oversight, monitoring, and compliance functions for a broad array of transportation stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure oversight, monitoring, and compliance functions related to commercial carriers, commercial vehicles, inspection facilities, provincial railways, dangerous goods, driver examiners, driver training schools, driver instructors, and Alberta drivers.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance transportation safety in Alberta.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Provide financial, strategic, and human resource leadership to the branch.
- Extensive experience as a senior manager of program delivery and complex policy development.
- Strong background in stakeholder collaboration and engagement.
- Significant experience in policy and program development, including implementation and evaluation.
- Knowledge of government accountability mechanisms and performance management systems.
- Competitive salary range: $132,652 - $174,329 per year.
