Position Overview

As a pivotal member of our team, the Financial Operations Manager will oversee the financial management of our projects, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Performance Analysis: Consolidate and scrutinize financial outcomes to pinpoint essential operational drivers in relation to forecasts and budgets.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Lead weekly meetings focused on performance reporting and forecasting of critical P&L components.
  • Project Financial Modeling: Maintain and enhance the project financial model on a regular basis, including historical data, current status, and future projections.
  • Estimation Techniques: Continuously refine the financial model and estimation methods to ensure precise forecasts and projections.
  • Contract Management: Oversee financial aspects of all contracts, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and management parameters.
  • Budget Establishment: Develop internal budgets and, when necessary, utilize earned value management tools to report on contract cost and schedule performance.
  • Guidance and Coaching: Provide support and mentorship to project managers to facilitate accurate project forecasts.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Offer leadership in the creation of project accounting and tracking methodologies.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree along with over seven years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field. A solid understanding of accounting, financial, and operational principles is essential, as well as familiarity with Federal compliance regulations and standards.
