Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Market Director for our Business Banking division. This role is pivotal in steering our growth initiatives and enhancing member experiences. As a leader in our organization, you will be instrumental in shaping a high-performing team focused on business development and member engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of business banking professionals targeting small to mid-sized enterprises, emphasizing new member acquisition through loans, deposits, and additional services.
  2. Manage a portfolio of key business relationships, ensuring personalized service and support.
  3. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aimed at attracting new commercial clients and providing tailored financial solutions.
  4. Maintain a strong professional presence within the community and among industry stakeholders.
  5. Guide your team in delivering customized financial solutions, overseeing negotiations and credit application processes to ensure adherence to policies.
  6. Utilize senior lender adjudication limits to empower your team in decision-making.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of five years of experience in commercial relationship management.
  2. Proven business development capabilities, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of portfolio management.
  3. Experience in building and nurturing relationships with clients and community influencers.
  4. Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams effectively.
  5. A university degree in a relevant business field.
  6. Experience in business or professional banking within a Canadian financial institution is preferred.
  7. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
