We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst - External Reporting to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in the preparation of external financial statements and management's discussion and analysis (MD&A).
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure timely completion of financial reporting tasks.
- Develop and maintain financial models and analyses to support external reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
- Enrolled and working towards an Accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CMA).
- University degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
