Research Support Assistant

The Research Support Assistant will play a crucial role in facilitating a qualitative research initiative that examines reproductive health experiences within correctional facilities in Canada. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive literature reviews by sourcing and evaluating relevant academic articles
  • Assisting in an environmental assessment of current programs and policies
  • Interpreting and analyzing research findings
  • Communicating and presenting research outcomes in both academic and public forums

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in undergraduate research, particularly in the social and political dimensions of menstruation and/or critical criminology
  • Proficiency in utilizing the Douglas College library database
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in public speaking and digital communication platforms
  • Strong analytical and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Prior experience as a research assistant is advantageous but not mandatory

Eligibility Requirements:

Domestic students must fulfill specific criteria to qualify for the position of Student Assistant/Student Research Assistant. International students are also subject to particular eligibility requirements.

Douglas College students who meet the outlined eligibility criteria will be given priority for these roles.
