We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Financial Services department, you will be responsible for processing and managing accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and experience working with computerized accounting systems. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial data, responding to customer and vendor inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service.

About YouWe are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized post-secondary business program with an emphasis in Accounting
- Minimum one (1) year recent and related experience in a computerized Accounting environment in the past three (3) years
- Ability to use MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel), Accounting software and willingness to learn new programs
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable and General Accounting
- Demonstrated accountability, judgment and decision making skills, commitment to customer service, communication and conflict resolution skills, collaboration and teamwork skills, commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, leadership abilities, planning, organization and time management skills, commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices and organizational health
This is a permanent, full-time position, 70 hours bi-weekly.
Compensation and BenefitsThe successful candidate may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
