We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Financial Services team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out assigned functional accounting and maintaining the integrity of information within the accounting subsystems.
The Accounts Payable Clerk will respond to and serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, ensuring that the principles and practices that guide Nova Scotia Health Authority are integrated within the support provided by the work they do and through the messages they deliver.
About YouWe are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a graduate degree in a recognized post-secondary business program with an emphasis in Accounting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of recent and related experience in a computerized Accounting environment, with a strong understanding of Accounts Payable and General Accounting.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to use MS Office, Accounting software, and general office equipment. They will also have a strong commitment to customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out assigned functional accounting and maintain the integrity of information within the accounting subsystems
- Respond to and serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors
- Ensure that the principles and practices that guide Nova Scotia Health Authority are integrated within the support provided by the work they do and through the messages they deliver
- Use MS Office, Accounting software, and general office equipment
- Provide excellent customer service and support
We offer a competitive salary of $27.62 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
