Senior Accounts Payable Clerk
Nova Scotia Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for carrying out assigned functional accounting and maintaining the integrity of information within the accounting subsystem in Accounts Payable.
About the Role
- Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Accounts Payable, you will be responsible for serving as a point of contact for customers and vendors.
- You will ensure that the principles and practices that guide Nova Scotia Health are integrated within the support that is provided by the work that you do and through the messages you deliver.
About You
- You have a graduate degree in a recognized post-secondary business program with an emphasis in Accounting.
- You have a minimum of three years of recent and related experience in a computerized SAP Accounts Payable environment.
- You have strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and are able to use accounting software and general office equipment.
- You possess expert knowledge of Accounts Payable, knowledge of Supply Chain Operations (Materials Management), and strong technical Accounting skills.
- You have demonstrated accountability, judgment and decision making skills, commitment to customer service, communication and conflict resolution skills, collaboration and teamwork skills, commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, leadership abilities, planning, organization and time management skills, and a commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices and organizational health.
- You have a strong work history and good attendance in current and past employment.
What We Offer
- A permanent, full-time position with 70 hours bi-weekly.
- A competitive hourly rate of $31.15.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
