Summary: Nova Scotia Health seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team, responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate financial records.

The Accounts Payable Clerk will report to the Assistant Manager - Accounts Payable and be responsible for carrying out assigned functional accounting tasks, maintaining the integrity of information within the accounting subsystems, and serving as a point of contact for customers and vendors.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in business with an emphasis in Accounting, a minimum of one year of recent experience in a computerized Accounting environment, and proficiency in MS Office and Accounting software. They will also possess excellent communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills, as well as a commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.

The position is a long-assignment, full-time role with a 70-hour bi-weekly schedule, and the successful candidate may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices and manage vendor relationships
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of accounting software and systems

Requirements:
