Senior Accounts Payable Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. This role requires a strong background in accounting and experience with computerized SAP Accounts Payable systems.

About the Opportunity

The Senior Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for carrying out assigned functional accounting tasks and maintaining the integrity of information within the accounting subsystem. This role will also involve responding to and serving as a point of contact for customers and vendors.

About You

  • Graduate of a recognized post-secondary business program with an emphasis in Accounting
  • Minimum three (3) years recent and related experience in a computerized SAP Accounts Payable environment
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel), with strong skill set in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to use Accounting software and willingness to learn new programs
  • Ability to use general office equipment
  • Expert knowledge of Accounts Payable, knowledge of Supply Chain Operations (Materials Management) and strong technical Accounting skills
  • Demonstrated accountability

Hours and Compensation

  • Permanent, full-time position, 70 hours bi-weekly
  • $31.15 Hourly
