About the Role
The Maintenance Manager will play a critical role in the success of our operation at Paper Excellence. This position will provide guidance on daily activities while focusing on the development and implementation of long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a safety culture within the maintenance team, ensuring compliance with all safety programs.
- Oversee the operations of the Maintenance Department, including productivity, policies, and procedures.
- Provide support to the maintenance team through mentoring and coaching.
- Work closely with other departmental managers to ensure maintenance needs are met and issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Focus on preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure long-term efficiency and reliability.
- Manage the Maintenance budget, establishing priorities and resource delegation.
- Coordinate work with outside inspections, providing project management and ensuring safety of personnel.
- Collaborate with HR on recruitment activities for the Maintenance department.
Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering or related field, plus five years of experience in mill engineering, planning, or maintenance departments.
- Five years of supervisory experience with a proven ability to provide leadership and direction.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- High level of understanding for all trades within the department and mill operating maintenance procedures.
Compensation and Benefits
- $120,000-$150,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).
