Software Quality Assurance Engineer II - Electrophysiology
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our Electrophysiology team at Boston Scientific Gruppe. As a key member of our product quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products, including the Rhythmia HDx Mapping System.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop Test Cases
Design, develop, and execute test cases to ensure the quality of our software products, including user interface, algorithms, and back-end data handling.
Manual Execution of TestsManually execute tests or execute automated test scripts to ensure the quality of our software products.
Test Result DocumentationDocument test results and write test reports to ensure that tests have been conducted in accordance with written procedures.
Problem Diagnosis and Bug ReportingDiagnose problems and report bugs and enhancements in a bug tracking system to ensure that issues are addressed promptly.
Knowledge Sharing and CollaborationShare knowledge and demonstrate product areas to other team members on an ad hoc basis to ensure that the team is aligned and working effectively.
Test Methodology and StrategyAssist in determining test methodology, test strategy, and test data setup to ensure that tests are effective and efficient.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional TeamsWork closely with software development team, hardware engineering team, field support team, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that the product meets the required quality standards.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree along with 3+ years of software test engineer or related experience or 1+ years with a master's degree or advanced degree, preferably BS/MS in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent.
Communication and Analytical SkillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred QualificationsA strong product quality and testing experience preferably in the medical device domain, working knowledge of test automation under Linux/Unix environment, some programming experience is desirable, such as Python, C, or C++, a natural attention to detail and a penchant for organizing and documenting, a good learner who can master complex software and quickly adapt to new tools and technologies, experience working in Agile Scrum development environment, ability to think logically and analytically in a problem-solving environment, ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively as part of a team, follow company policy regarding ISO and FDA documentation and compliance for medical devices, prior experience with Ultrasound devices preferred.
