We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Stepdown Unit at Burnaby Hospital. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide direct patient care to patients with complex medical needs, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs
- Provide high-quality nursing care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists and other healthcare services
- Teach patients and families about self-care and health maintenance to promote independence and well-being
- Document patient information and care plans accurately and thoroughly
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
