Nurse Practitioner Assistant

Job Summary
As a valued member of the Fraser Health team, the Employed Student Nurse will provide direct nursing care to patients/residents/clients under the supervision of a practicing Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, or Registered Psychiatric Nurse. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, organize workload, and prioritize tasks while maintaining a high level of physical fitness.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications, conduct assessments, and manage intravenous infusions as needed.
- Collaborate with the nursing team and multi-disciplinary team members to develop and modify health care plans.
- Evaluate patient/resident/client response to the health care plan and modify interventions as necessary.
- Participate in quality improvement plans and assist in collecting/collating data.
Qualifications
- Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as an Employed Student Registrant.
- Continued enrollment in a recognized nursing education program.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
