About the Role

This leadership position plays a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely financial management of TOTEM RECRUITER's growing portfolio of luxury residential properties.

You will oversee a team of property accountants, collaborate with various departments, and contribute to the company's overall success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of property accountants, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for a designated portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Manage monthly accounting close procedures, review financial statements, and analyze variances in collaboration with property managers.
  • Financial Planning: Prepare and review year-end financial reports and supporting documentation.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Contribute to the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors to ensure timely and successful audit completion.
  • Process Improvement: Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Handle property accounting-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of property accounting principles and practices.
  • Proven track record of managing a team, with strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with property accounting software (ideally Yardi).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
