As the Front Desk Operations Leader, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the bell desk team, fostering a vibrant and motivated work environment. We are in search of a proactive leader who embraces innovation and growth. The ideal candidate will contribute to an authentically Canadian welcome experience that surpasses our established standards, while nurturing a culture of empowerment that enables team members to effectively address guest needs. You will promote a learning atmosphere that aligns with our employee engagement objectives. Furthermore, you will assist the Guest Services Manager in onboarding, training, and performance evaluations for all bell staff, leading by example to enhance the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the guest arrival and departure processes.
  • Deliver courteous, professional, and attentive service consistently.
  • Efficiently address guest requests or concerns.
  • Build personal connections with guests to understand their needs and expectations, identifying opportunities to impress.
  • Manage valet parking and retrieval of guest vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Support guest room deliveries as needed.
  • Drive guest shuttles to local attractions.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the Kananaskis Valley and surrounding areas to provide recommendations, make reservations, and create an unparalleled guest experience.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of public areas, including hotel lobbies and entrances.
  • Collaborate effectively with all departments (Housekeeping, Engineering, Conference Services, Accounting, etc.).
  • Maintain knowledge of all safety and emergency protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 2 years of driving experience; experience with larger vehicles (trucks, vans, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 1 year in a leadership role, preferably in the hospitality sector.
  • Must provide a clean driving record.
  • A dynamic and enthusiastic individual who excels under pressure and can handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry guest luggage.
  • Previous customer service experience with a strong commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional demeanor is essential.
  • Proficient in computer applications including Windows, Internet, MS Word & Excel, and Opera.
  • Health and Safety conscious, dedicated to maintaining a secure work environment.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Flexible to work various shifts.
  • Must hold a Class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's License (ability to obtain a Class 4 license within 3 months of employment).
  • Capability to drive a manual transmission vehicle is a plus.
  • A diploma in Hospitality/Tourism is considered an asset.
