As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team with administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our office, and providing exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:

* Coordinate the flow of information and maintain accurate records
* Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and court appearances
* Prepare and key in correspondence, legal documents, and reports
* Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage
* Perform basic bookkeeping tasks and maintain financial records
* Research records, court files, and other legal documents
* Complete legal documentation and prepare court filings
* Advise clients on legal proceedings and provide guidance on legal procedures

Requirements:

* 1-2 years of experience in a legal or administrative role
* College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
