Job Title: Legal Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team at Acumen Immigration Solutions Inc.

Job Summary:

The Legal Assistant will provide administrative support to our legal team, ensuring the smooth operation of our immigration services. This role involves coordinating the flow of information, scheduling appointments, maintaining filing systems, and preparing legal documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the flow of information and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Schedule and confirm appointments with clients and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems
  • Prepare and key in correspondence and legal documents
  • Review and proofread documents to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage
  • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks and maintain financial records
  • Research records, court files, and other legal documents as required
  • Complete legal documentation and ensure accuracy
  • Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or equivalent education
  • 1-2 years of experience in a legal administrative role
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other software applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
