Job Summary:

The Legal Assistant will provide administrative support to our legal team, ensuring the smooth operation of our immigration services. This role involves coordinating the flow of information, scheduling appointments, and maintaining filing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the flow of information and documents between team members and clients
  • Schedule and confirm appointments with clients and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems
  • Prepare and key in correspondence and legal documents
  • Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage
  • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks and maintain financial records
  • Research records, court files, and other legal documents as required
  • Complete legal documentation and prepare reports
  • Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Legal administrative assistant/secretary or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software
Work Environment:

This is a hybrid role, with a mix of office and remote work. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to meet tight deadlines.
