Role Overview

Reporting to the Manager of IT Security and Infrastructure, the IT Support Specialist will assist the Help Desk department with various support-related tasks. Responsibilities may include preparing new equipment, relocating devices, and managing daily support requests and tickets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily IT support across all company branches.
  • Manage IT onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot IT equipment and software issues.
  • Ensure timely resolution of requests and issues, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with various IT operational tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Consult technical manuals and user guides to implement solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems encountered by users.
  • Offer advice and training to users facing difficulties.
  • Support users with business systems, network, and Internet issues.
  • Maintain a log of problems and solutions for reference by other analysts.
  • Participate in the redesign of applications and software.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or university degree in Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified, or ITIL are advantageous.
  • Proficient in Windows and MacOS operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with PC hardware, printers, scanners, and audio/visual equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Azure AD administration.
  • Ability to install Windows applications and document issues and resolutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, network, and VPN issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Attention to detail and a collaborative work ethic.

Work Environment

  • 40-hour on-site work week with an on-call rotation.
  • Travel to various locations as required.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and lift moderately heavy objects.
  • Comfortable handling tools for troubleshooting and repair tasks.
