Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Wise, a global technology company. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing sophisticated machine learning models to predict chargeback risk for ACH payments.

Our mission is to make life easier and save people money when sending, spending, or making international payments. We are committed to using data-driven insights to drive business decisions and improve operational efficiency.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement machine learning models to identify and mitigate chargeback risk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and deep learning.
  • Design and execute experiments to automate operational processes using data science technologies.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in building machine learning models on large datasets.
  • Strong knowledge of Python, Spark, SQL, and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to make and justify design decisions in code.
  • Familiarity with a range of model types, including gradient boosting, neural networks, regression, autoencoders, and clustering.
  • Confidence in managing your own workload and communicating progress to the team and wider organization.
