Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective safety programs and initiatives to ensure a safe working environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Create and implement comprehensive safety programs to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Lead Investigations: Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
  • Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Monitor and Report: Monitor and report on safety metrics and trends, identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • 10+ Years of Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial health and safety role, with a strong background in risk management and safety program development.
  • Advanced Education: Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety, or advanced safety certifications.
  • Professional Certifications: Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CSSE/CHSC).
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
