Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Create and implement comprehensive safety programs to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Lead Investigations: Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.
- Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Monitor and Report: Monitor and report on safety metrics and trends, identifying areas for improvement.
- 10+ Years of Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial health and safety role, with a strong background in risk management and safety program development.
- Advanced Education: Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety, or advanced safety certifications.
- Professional Certifications: Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CSSE/CHSC).
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
