Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Fraser Health. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Adolescent Day Treatment Program, ensuring the smooth operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the program team, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings.
  • Develop and maintain various systems, such as forms development and filing, to ensure efficient and effective program operations.
  • Screen and prioritize incoming materials, respond to inquiries, and draft correspondence as needed.
  • Perform receptionist duties, including receiving and directing inquiries, and providing information to patients and families regarding resources available in the community.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including timekeeping attendance, departmental statistics, and patient records.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Grade 12 graduation from a recognized secretarial program, including a recognized course in medical terminology.
  • Three years of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to keyboard at 60 w.p.m. and operate related equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
