Our Transportation Division is seeking a skilled Junior Inspector to join our team. As a Junior Inspector, you will play a key role in the delivery of environmental assessment and design services for public sector clients. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical and professional skills, with a focus on project management and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements
  • Document site activities and gather relevant information on contractor operations
  • Provide support to Senior Inspection staff as needed
  • Assist with quality assurance field survey activities
  • Monitor contractor quality control activities
  • Compile field data for review by the contract administration team
  • Assist with quality assurance sampling and testing tasks
  • Provide quantity/payment verification support as needed

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology/Technician
  • Designation as a Road Construction Junior Inspector (rcji) Technology/Technician (asset)
  • Previous engineering/construction experience (asset)
  • Prior experience working on MTO projects or municipal infrastructure projects
  • Registration as a Technician or Technologist with O.A.C.E.T.T. or Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training with PEO
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Able to work on weekends, nights, shift work, additional hours as required
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • A valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Able to travel and work in the greater Ottawa and surrounding area
