Our Transportation Division is seeking a skilled Junior Inspector to join our team. As a Junior Inspector, you will play a key role in the delivery of environmental assessment and design services for public sector clients. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical and professional skills, as well as your project management abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements
- Document site activities and gather relevant information on contractor operations
- Provide support to Senior Inspection staff as needed
- Assist with Quality Assurance field survey activities
- Monitor contractor quality control activities and compile field data for review
- Support contract administration staff as needed
Requirements:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology/Technician
- Designation as a Road Construction Junior Inspector (rcji) Technology/Technician is an asset
- Previous engineering/construction experience is an asset
- Prior experience working on MTO projects or municipal infrastructure projects
- Registration as a Technician or Technologist with O.A.C.E.T.T. or Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training with PEO
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Able to work on weekends, nights, shift work, and additional hours as required
- Proficiency with MS Office
- A valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Able to travel and work in the greater Ottawa and surrounding area
