Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure contract requirements are met, maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
- Document site activities and provide support to Senior Inspection staff, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
- Support Quality Assurance field survey activities, contributing to the development of robust and reliable data.
- Assist in monitoring contractor's quality control activities, ensuring compliance with established protocols and procedures.
- Compile field data in report form for review, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Assist with Quality Assurance sampling and testing tasks, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data.
- Provide quantity/payment verification support, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
- Support contract/field office administration staff, contributing to the smooth operation of our Transportation Division.
Required Qualifications:
- Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology/Technician degree from an accredited institution.
- Designation as Road Construction Junior Inspector (RCJI) is an asset, demonstrating expertise and knowledge in the field.
- Previous engineering/construction experience is preferred, showcasing a strong understanding of industry best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual respect.
- Proficiency with MS Office, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems and processes.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle, enabling efficient travel to project sites.
- Able to work in the greater Ottawa and surrounding area, supporting our local clients and projects.
