Our Transportation Division is seeking a skilled Junior Inspector to join our team. As a Junior Inspector, you will play a key role in the delivery of environmental assessment and design assignments for public sector clients. This position offers opportunities for growth in technical and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements
  • Document site activities and gather relevant information on contractor operations
  • Support Senior Inspection staff as needed
  • Assist with Quality Assurance field survey activities
  • Monitor contractor quality control activities
  • Compile field data for review by the contract administration team
  • Support quantity/payment verification and contract administration tasks

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology/Technician
  • Designation as a Road Construction Junior Inspector (rcji) Technology/Technician is an asset
  • Previous engineering/construction experience is an asset
  • Prior experience working on MTO projects or municipal infrastructure projects
  • Registration as a Technician or Technologist with O.A.C.E.T.T. or Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training with PEO
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Able to work on weekends, nights, shift work, and additional hours as required
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • A valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Able to travel and work in the greater Ottawa and surrounding area
