Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the court system, ensuring the smooth operation of court proceedings and the maintenance of accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer incoming charges and ensure compliance with statutory time limits.
  • Review and enter information into the database, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legislative requirements.
  • Process applications, forms, and trial requests, verifying accuracy and timeliness.
  • Commission court affidavits and schedule appointments, ensuring all documentation is complete.
  • Prepare documentation for enforcement agencies and schedule follow-up court appearances.
  • Prepare Fail to Respond dockets and administer according to guidelines and regulations.
  • Perform general cashier duties and prepare daily deposits.
  • Accept and certify convictions for Part 2 matters and advise the Ministry of changes in driving records.
  • Provide administrative and support services to the team lead and management.
  • Assist the public through multiple channels, responding to inquiries and investigating issues.
  • Maintain and update various systems, manuals, and records.
  • Ensure services meet Regional customer service standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum three years of experience in an office environment, including legal or court experience using the ICON database.
  • Satisfactory Police Criminal Background Check.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Standards, Acts, and Regulations.
  • Intermediate skills in virtual platforms and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to provide customer service.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, with ability to assess priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop relationships and work in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
