Job Description: Transportation Operations CoordinatorWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Operations Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transportation services.
Responsibilities:- Manage daily driver and bus assistant assignments, scheduling routes and special services to meet operational needs.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and school officials to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
- Monitor vehicle locations and driver performance, addressing any issues promptly and efficiently.
- Utilize routing software and mapping tools to optimize routes and minimize travel time.
- Maintain accurate records of driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and other operational data.
- Collaborate with the operations team to implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Proven experience in transportation dispatching or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and routing software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety procedures.
