Healthcare Project Manager

Position Overview
The Project Lead is a vital role within the OPOR Project Management Office, reporting directly to the Program Manager. This position is designed for individuals who excel in organization and possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies. The Project Lead will be instrumental in providing essential support for decision-making processes and ensuring effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating project activities and support project managers in various departments.
- Prepare and manage documentation, including agendas, meeting minutes, and decision logs.
- Contribute to project requirements, risk assessments, scheduling, and change control processes.
- Maintain adherence to established policies, procedures, and industry standards.
- Demonstrate initiative and judgment in managing a diverse workload and competing priorities.
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Business Analysis, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- At least three years of experience in project coordination or administration, ideally within the IT or healthcare sectors.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
- Familiarity with healthcare information systems and terminology is beneficial.
- Certification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and/or organizational change management is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Understanding of the complete project life-cycle and project management principles.
- Competency in additional languages is an asset, with a preference for French.
Work Schedule
- This role is a full-time position with a commitment of 75 hours bi-weekly.
- The assignment duration is approximately 36 months, subject to change.
Compensation
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $29.91 to $37.38. Successful candidates may also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
